The Mountain of the Lord and the Return of the Remnant

4
Chapter 4
1 And it will be in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established at the head of the mountains, and it will be lifted up above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. 2 And many nations will go and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us his ways and we will walk in his paths." For from Zion the Torah will go out, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3 He will judge between many peoples and rebuke strong nations far away. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and they will not learn war anymore. 4 They will sit, each man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will terrify them, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. 5 For all the peoples will walk, each man in the name of his God, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever. 6 On that day, declares the LORD, I will gather the lame and the outcast, and her whom I have afflicted. 7 And I will make the lame a remnant, and she who was driven away a mighty nation. And the LORD will reign over them on Mount Zion from now on and forever. 8 And you, Tower of the Flock, Ophel of Daughter Zion, to you it will come, the former dominion from dominion to Daughter Jerusalem. 9 Now why do you cry out bitterly? There is no king in you. Your counselor has perished, for he has strengthened your force like a woman in labor. 10 Writhe and gasp, daughter of Zion, like one giving birth, for now you will go out from the city and dwell in the field and come to Babel; there you will be delivered; there the LORD will redeem you from the palm of your enemies. 11 And now many nations have gathered against you, those saying, "Let her be profaned, and let our eye gaze on Zion." 12 And they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, nor do they understand his counsel, for he has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor. 13 Arise and thresh, daughter Zion, for I will make your horn iron and your hooves bronze, and you will beat fine many peoples, and I will devote their gain to the LORD and their strength to the Lord of all the earth.
